Get-together and "recreational" fire

Hey. I'm new to the blog, not as new to BBC and even more not as new to the Twin Cities area. I grew up here, in Mpls, and just recently bought a home (a fixer-upper) in Vadnais Heights, way "up north" compared to where most of you are from. I rent a room to my sister and she throws parties for her small groups from her churches, Emmanuel Christain Center and the Rock, an Evergreen church-plant. Here is her [edited] invitation... and I am inviting you all as well. Come mix with believers from other churches as well as unbelievers! The fire starts around dusk (8pmish)

Hi Y’all!

Just wanted to invite you all to a final summer bonfire at my bro Adam’s place where I live! Shortly after this, I begin a full load of my senior year of college, and will have barely any time for hanging out until my winter break around Christmas. I’ll be buried in books, work, able to make it to church and small group once a week, and limited extra time will be spent with family and a few close friends… So needless to say, I really hope you can come to this bonfire so I can spend some time with you before I “disappear” for about 4 months – and have fun with old and new friends!

This bonfire will be on Saturday, August 26, and you can come anytime after 5pm. We will again have volleyball/badminton and other games – bring any if you have some cool outdoor games! We’ll also have an awesome time of worship and fellowship around the bonfire, so bring your voices and instruments if you have any [instruments, that is]!

Please bring a light dish or snack to share Drinks [non-alcoholic] and S’more-[making materials] will be provided.

Take 694 to Rice St. Go north [for those non-magnetic types, that means, from 694 E, go left; from 694W, go right]. Take a quick right onto the frontage road (Vadnais Blvd). Follow the winding scenic Vadnais Blvd until you come to your first stop sign. Take a left onto Edgerton St. Go about ½ mile. Take a Left onto Koehler Rd ( ½ block after Right Koehler Rd). The first driveway on your right is where I live. Park either in the driveway, or else on the street if you don’t plan on staying long and getting blocked in.
